The grants were handed out by Fife Housing Group through its annual Giving Something Back scheme, now in its fifth year, which supports charities and organisations making a difference across the region.
Funding is raised through the group’s charitable contractor framework, with 2 per cent of invoiced costs donated to good causes.
A total of 13 organisations received funding this year, including Amazing Grace – Friends of Fetal Medicine, Team Jak Foundation, Peacocks in Pittencrieff Park, Fife Breastfeeding Mums Kirkcaldy Café, Linton Lane Centre, The King’s Theatre, Richmond’s Hope, and Rosyth Sharks RFC.
Other beneficiaries include West Fife Woodlands Group, KRFC Blues, Homelands Trust Fife, The Cottage Family Centre, and Viewforth High School.
Successful grant applicants were invited to pitch their projects at a celebratory event held at Rosyth Parish Church, where residents and a panel of judges decided how much funding each group would receive.
Brian Fisher, chair of the Fife Housing Group board, said: “It was a privilege to attend the Giving Something Back event and to have the opportunity to speak with those pitching for grants.
“It was clear to me that they were all passionate about the causes they were involved in and it was fantastic that we were able to help them.”
The panel also included Nicki Donaldson, chief executive of Fife Housing Group, and John Bell, chair of Resident VOICES.
Named Pitches, Prizes and Pizza, the event brought together residents, organisations and supporters for an evening of community spirit and celebration.
Guests enjoyed pizzas from the Scottish Pizza Co, activities for children, a tombola, and the chance to win a tablet.
The Giving Something Back grants programme was created to highlight and support organisations making a positive impact across Fife.
The next round of funding is expected to open in spring 2026.
Groups interested in applying are encouraged to watch for updates on the Fife Housing Group website and social media channels closer to the launch date.
The scheme is made possible by the support of contractors who contribute a portion of their invoiced costs to support good causes.
