GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – According to a recent study, Grand Junction ranks 11th in affordable housing among small U.S. metros.
A study from the U.S. Cities Investing in More Affordable Housing report says that Grand Junction is prioritizing more affordable housing.
The report states that in 2024, Grand Junction authorized the construction of over 1,014 new housing units, averaging $148,650 each.
Officials with Construction Coverage say the average value per housing unit was $260,229 across the nation.
The report covers over 380 metros in the U.S. and all 50 states.
